About ColorPilot

ColorPilot is a free online collection of color tools designed for web designers, UI/UX developers, and anyone who works with digital color. Our goal is to provide fast, accurate, and practical color utilities that eliminate the tedious parts of color work — so you can focus on designing great products.

What ColorPilot Offers

Working with color in digital design involves navigating multiple color models, accessibility requirements, and creative decisions simultaneously. ColorPilot brings the most essential tools together in one place:

Built for Real Workflows

Every tool in ColorPilot is designed for practical use in real design and development workflows. Results are formatted for immediate copy-paste into CSS, JavaScript, or design tools. There is no registration, no file upload, and no waiting — all calculations happen instantly in your browser.

ColorPilot works entirely client-side. Your color data never leaves your browser, and the tools work offline once loaded. This makes ColorPilot suitable for use in secure environments, air-gapped systems, or simply when you do not want to depend on an internet connection while designing.

Accessibility as a Priority

We believe accessible design is good design. ColorPilot's contrast checker is one of our most-used tools because accessibility requirements — particularly WCAG 2.1 AA compliance — are now standard expectations for commercial websites and applications. By making contrast checking fast and frictionless, we hope to make accessible color choices the default, not an afterthought.

ColorPilot itself is designed to meet accessibility standards: all text meets contrast requirements, the interface is keyboard-navigable, and color is never the sole means of conveying information.
